Channel 4 commission Two Men on a Bike
Channel 4 is set to reunite comedians Hugh Dennis and David Baddiel for a travel series which sees the pair cycle across France.
Hugh and David have been friends for over 40 years since University and regularly still play football together – and the series sees the duo cycle from Arcachon on the Atlantic Coast to Sete on the Mediterranean following the Canal des Deux Mers.
Baddiel called Dennis “a proper cyclist, he’s done the Alps, he’s done half of the Tour de France”. He added “I do not do that, look at me. So I said I’d do it on my e-bike”.
Steve Wynne and Gill Brown serve as Executive Producers on the series, with Wynne saying: “We’ve just had to spend two weeks drinking wine and eating large quantities of cassoulet whilst following two lifelong mates cycling along the beautiful canals of southern France from the sunny Atlantic to the even sunnier Med. As you can imagine, we all had an awful time.”
