The hit More 4 series, nominated for Best Factual Programme in 2022, will be uncovering even more history hidden in your neighbourhood.
Hugh and an expert team of archaeologists are digging all over the UK in an attempt to discover the lost history buried beneath our feet. With the help of local residents the team uncover mysteries that go back through millennia of time – from a Roman fort, to a medieval castle and much, much more, as they reveal the exciting discoveries hidden just centimetres below us.
Each episode visits a different neighbourhood and covers a different period of history, but by using archaeology and working alongside the local community, the team always uncover buried treasure and solve the mysteries that lie beneath our feet.
The experts joining Hugh Dennis on this series are Dr Chloe Duckworth, archaeological scientist and lecturer at Newcastle University, field archaeologist Natasha Billson and author and archaeologist John Henry Phillips.
The series returns on More4 on Thursday 15 June at 9pm. (And it’s really very good).
