Strawberry Blond signs C4 commissioner
Gill Brown will head our new Glasgow office and we’re very excited indeed.
Strawberry Blond TV has recruited Channel 4 commissioning editor Gill Brown as development executive.
Brown will assume the role later this month, working across our development slate of entertainment, fact-ent, music and children’s content alongside creative director Tom Benson-Geddes.
She will also lead our second Scottish office in Glasgow, with the new arm expanding on our Edinburgh base.

Prior to joining C4, Gill spent time in producer and development producer roles at indies, including Mentorn and Tern TV.
Steve Wynne, CEO of Strawberry Blond, said: “We loved working with Gill at Channel 4 so it’s a no-brainer to welcome her into the Strawberry family. She revels in big ideas and making popular television series and can’t wait to produce more shows out of Scotland.”
Brown added: “I’m really excited to be joining Steve and the team at Strawberry Blond. Working with them on Strangers and Huge Homes was a fun, collaborative process and this epitomises the ethos of the company. It’s a joy to get the opportunity to create a slate of ideas to be developed and produced in Glasgow.”
